This blog was started by Sai & Yakub. Both masters graduates from the University of York. Yakub has a background in Software Development with experience of starting his own company and currently working as a Business Analyst. Sai has a background in Law with a masters in International Human Rights Law, currently working as a Paralegal.
A-poria was started by two individuals who loved to talk about almost anything over a steamy cup of coffee. Often meeting in a cosy cafe in the wondrous streets of York, only to be spending hours conversing over current affairs, law, tech and career development.
A-poria refers to a logical impasse, contradiction or internal doubt, particularly in philosophy and textual criticism. For us, it is usually a point of discussion within a conversation to be investigated further in order explore what might be.
This space aims to be a place of exploration of doubt, discovery of idea and prolonged conversation, as well as an update on commercial matters. We’d like our readers to enjoy the conversation rather than simply debate; in order to bring together pockets of intellectual wealth sparked by doubt or criticism.

I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.”
